While there is still work to be done, the amount that’s been accomplished already is tremendous. The march itself has grown from an idea to a cross-national event involving thousands of organizers, students and volunteers in less than a year. Marchers will travel one of ten routes, each particular to one of China’s different ecological zones. From the snowy plateaus of Tibet to the beautiful southern rainforests, volunteers will cover all of China in an attempt to highlight the positive steps being taken in the conservation of the nation’s environment.
