Swire Pacific Limited Sponsors China's 2010 Green Long MarchJanuary 15, 2010

Future Generations China is excited to announce that Swire Pacific Limited will continue its Gold Level Sponsorship of the Green Long March. On January 15th 2010, Swire Pacific Limited confirmed its support of this year's Gold Coast Route. Activities along the Route will address the impact of climate change on southern China's coastal ecosystems and identify best practices that address the loss of natural storm barriers such as mangroves and coral reefs in the region. Activities will include student-led environmental education workshops, on-campus awareness campaigns, and field surveys.

Swire's sponsorship of this year's Green Long March will also support Green Seed Award projects along the Gold Coast Route. These small seed grants will provide students with the resources needed to identify and expand upon best practices for regional climate change issues in and around the coastal cities of Zhanjiang and Xiamen, China. Projects may address challenges such as decreased freshwater availability and sustainable farming.

Future Generations China and Swire Pacific Limited look forward to another year of successful partnership.
